Frequently asked questions

Is this the official TAC provider list?

No. This is an independent directory. It rebuilds the TAC's own published attendant care provider list into something you can search and browse by region, but it is not run by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the Transport Accident Commission. Always confirm current details with the TAC.

Who are the providers listed here?

They are the attendant care and post acute support providers on the TAC's published provider list for Victoria. Attendant care is help at home with everyday living after a transport accident, such as showering, dressing and getting out into the community.

Does a provider have to be TAC registered?

Yes. The TAC states that your attendant care provider must be registered with it before they can provide these services. Every provider in this directory comes from the TAC's own list, but registration can change, so confirm it before you commit.

Why can I not see provider phone numbers?

We do not publish provider phone numbers or websites. Tell us the region you need support in and we will pass your details to a provider serving that part of Victoria. It keeps things simple and means you get matched to someone with current availability.

Is it free to request a match?

Yes. Requesting a match is free and there is no obligation. Your details are only used to connect you with an attendant care provider serving your area.

Do I choose my own provider or does the TAC?

You can usually choose. The TAC funds attendant care against a recommendation from your doctor or treating team, and you can pick a registered provider that suits you. Keep your TAC contact in the loop so the support you arrange fits what has been approved.
